Post by: Delfox on August 31, 2015, 11:52:32 PM
Well my ferry is booked for October (always go for my birthday)Portsmouth to Santander then the only plans is to head through Spain and down to Portugal back over through spain and across the pyrenees to Andorra and France and ferry back to blighty, ill be mixing camping with b and b,s 16 days so no rush just wandering if anyone has any advise on routes, b&bs.

Did France the first week i got my Fjr 10 days 2 hours after getting there it started to rain and did so none stop for 5 days so came back early with 647 miles on the last day.

So any advise would be most welcome

My only advice would be: stay off the motorways (unless it's raining and you *have* to be somewhere specific) and enjoy the ride!

Your experience echoes mine: the weather in France can't be trusted

Have had 2 visits to Spain and Portugal: perfect weather and some awesome roads. Enjoy!

Cheers

I might be going that way next year in May. Will be interesting to see how you get on and see your adventure posted up on here with a few pics if you get the time to do so. The only advise I'd have is to leave the bloody tent at home. lol
