The stock Kawasaki seat is comfortable but I find after a while it gets uncomfortable. I've bought a second hand seat from the states for $100 + shipping. I'm planning on driving down to Digger Seats (http://www.diggerseats.co.uk/) to get it customised.
It'll probably end up costing near £300 after the modifications, so I could have gone for a Sargeant or Corbin. But I figured customised this the only way to be sure
Couldn't agree more. My problem is the slope on the pillion section that keeps sliding the passenger into the rider's back. I cured that on my previous bike with a totally hand customised seat. It is the only way to be sure. A lot of the aftermarket seats are just as bad. They seem more interested in looks than function. Good luck.
Well, I know that this is an old topic but it seemed OK to post in this topic.
So, I renewed seat at one guy in Croatia who is "customizing" seats.
Basically most modification has been done for co-driver part of seat.

That seat looks very neat, high quality and also comfortable for your pillion/co rider
