Title: Mileages
Post by: PRD on August 08, 2015, 08:18:06 AM
Just curious what mileage our bikes have done. Mine is an 11 plate and has done 28000 miles.

Mine's about the same on a 10 plate. High for a bike but that's what they're built for, long journeys and a bit of exploring.  Happy days

mines on a 10 plate and done 33200. But i'm on it every day and riding it like it was supposed to be ridden. back tyres last 3 months!
personally i'm not concerned about milage these days. it'll hit me on resale but i'm not worried that it'll stop working.

mines 13k on a 10 plate, prob the lowest mileage bike ive had , im usually double that.  we are sunday riders and riding in this country is getting worse and worse with the bad weather congested roads and Fricking swarm of cyclists .  Just not as fun as it used to be .

Nice thread.

Ok so mines not a GTR but when I got it last November on an 11 plate it had done approximately 3200 miles, despite as Viper says us having some shite weather I'm currently on approximately 8100 miles and rising some nine months later.

Like Wolf mine isn't a GTR either, but 7200 miles from new which was July 2014, TBH I would normally cover more than that but with moving house I haven't been able to ride as much as usual.

" It' not so much about counting the miles as making the miles count"

07 with 66k miles from new. Since both bikes share commuting duty they get 250 miles per week each, unless I choose to ride one more than the other. To be honest the GTR1000 gets the nod more often as it's more comfy. Motor is quite buzzy though and nowhere near the power of the 1400.

2010 Plate in the best colour (Blue) I rarely commute on it, 8,200 when bought Feb 2014,    15,700 ish now

4,000 of that was two jaunts across Spain, the rest of it cruising gently around Cornwall :tank:

also put a thousand odd on my VTR Firestorm and none on my broken down again T160 :embarrassed:
