Bump... no interest, am I asking too much? Looking into getting that scuff and scratch treated if that's putting people off?
Whilst I am unsure on pricing of the GTR generally, my 2012 with 10,000 miles on it is still at the dealer where I part - exchanged it in late May, for £8,750. Hope this helps...

I have just bought a 2014 with 1260 miles on and the balance of Kawasaki warranty for just over 10 K. So at the moment there are some good prices out there which won't help at the moment.
Trying to find anybody with hard cash is the hard bit , I paid. 8700 for mine 3 years ago ,they took my zzr12 and gave what I paid for it I gave them 1800 cash and the rest was given to me interest free, so all I need was to give a bit of cash , dealers have more attractive deals , to sell you have to be giving a very good deal , even if you price it at £6000 you might still struggle to sell with the mileage, what I would do is strip off all the extras and sell for the best price you can get and get a good deal on the next one , what part ex price is the dealers offering , 6 at most at a guess ,
Thank you everyone... something to consider.
Big price drop... £7000

wow that's 3k on 2 bikes, you got Wonga kicking your front door in ? haha
I listened to the advice here and decided it was right and I do want to sell them, but I'm not going any lower. I'd honestly rather keep them, especially the BMW (or give it to my bikeless biker uncle on a permanent loan), than let them go for less and feel robbed. I guess this is how people end up with a garage full of bikes, LOL.
buyers always seem put off by bikes with 30k plus miles , silly I know as these engines are as robust as car engines . bikes sub 20k always sell well with strong prices
unless its a goldie or a pan with 60k miles

when you see the amount of BMW gs that have 40,000 m plus on them for over £6000 it makes you wonder who buys then private , I would not fancy one , the problem you have in selling is that if you have £7 k to spend then another £2k gets you the low mileage one which most people will go for ,
Riders of bridgewater who have 3 stores gave me the trade in I was asking for.
I dealt with the Cardiff shop they have just put mine on for £7795 for a 2009 bike I suppose if someone is interested they will barter .
I'm guessing you've sold this by now ?
No, still have it. Why, are you interested?
Unfortunately a month or so ago a lorry decided to nudge me off while I was stationary, so I need to replace a couple of pieces of fairing where it went down. Didn't bother fitting the crash bars I was going to buy as I was selling the bike... wish I had done now!
Still for sale £6000 new ad here (http://www.gtr1400.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic,5570.new.html#new)
I'd buy your top box, if you ever want to sell it.
Price drop £5500
Bloody hell, Stephen, you'll be throwing in one of your arms next. That's a lot of bike for that money!
Take some really good photo's and put it on Ebay, at that price you have a chance, the cash sale market with perceived high mileage bikes is tough at the moment, but give it a go and good luck.
SOLD
:mfr_lol: And I'm not surprised at that price! Congratulations
Cheers. Sold it privately for £5500 to a real nice guy from Wakefield who saw it on flea at, he seems very pleased with it. Lot of bike with a lot of extras for the money. I have a couple of bits to sell still, OEM SCREEN, flip screen, pannier locks and inner pannier shells but will list them next week. Just need to sell the F800GS now... hopefully I'll have a 2014 BMW R1200 GSA TE by the end of the week.
hi Steve pm me details of the flip screen
Good God Stephen. Me and Syd have been trying to flog this to a Mate and now you tell us you're going all BMW on us :mfr_lol:
Happy for you that its gone and enjoy your new ride,
Contratulations
I'd kept quiet but I was hoping to buy this when I return from holiday later this month, never mind fate intervened and is wasn't meant to be.
That chap got a good deal
