Anyone one here owned a Pan st1300, any views or comments ?
I had 2 x ST1300 for 12 years. Excellent bike. Don't believe all the rubbish about weave.
Maybe a bit long in the tooth now, but a more than capable bike. Certaingly more tourer orinted than the GTR.
For me the GTE ws the best of an ST1300 blended with a Blackbird or VFR1200.
Would I go back? Maybe, but I'm loving the GTR's more sport handling/performance. Having said that A to B probably not much difference for my style of road riding.

whats considered to be the best tyres for this bike, same as GTR PR3/4 ?
also what kind of mods do owners tend to do , again same as GTR , screen, seat , ect ?
Only mods I did were a Top Sellerie seat (repeated on GTR) as after several hours you start to feel the seat base. Bar risers (repeated on the GTR). And some infill wind shields above the mirrors (not repeated on the GTR yet).
I never changed the screen and haven't on the GTR. Nearly always ride with it in lowest setting, only raising if really heavy rain.
Tyres - I stuck with the original Bridgestone BT020 which were designed for it. Make sure your get the 'F' suffix ones. Too many people fit the vanilla ones and then moan about wear etc.

good stuff
I had a set of BT020s on my GTR1000 and they were OK but the Avon 3D-XM I have on it now make them seem wooden. 1400 has PR4s which are good but may be trying the 3D-XMs on the 1400 next. Never could ride the ST11/13 for long due to the knee cutouts being too small. Nice motor though.

STX man has said it all!
Pan is a superb bike, little long in the tooth and lacks a little ground clearance.
Comfy, although the saddle is a tad hard, and excellent weather protection - just a bit too good when it's hot as you get no air!
Great two up or solo.
If someone told me I could ever only have one bike for the rest of my life the Pan would be it.
Have to agree with the GTR being the best compromise between Pan/Blackbird which is the way I went.
Pan gets a big thumbs up from me
