I don't know perhaps 2500 miles touring around France perhaps ;)
Unfortunately even with the GTR Swindon to Tanhill is not unfortunately what I would call a day trip  ;) - anyway I and FH will be in N Yorkshire a couple of weeks later.

Tan hill is on my regular route on Wednesday evening AFTER work up through Reeth, Arkengarthdale, Tan hill, buttertubs pass, stop off in Hawes, be seduced by a bag of chips, talk a load of poo to anybody that will listen for an hour or three, then home via semer water.   by it's grim up North. ;D

Thanks for the kind offer, we will be up there on a Knights Templar MTC weekend trip, staying near Theakstone http://www.knightstemplarmtc.org (http://www.knightstemplarmtc.org) and we have several local people organising routes and places to visit.

Really look forward to the trip  :)

Andy, that looks a very tidy machine.  ;D

Geoff, I went to Leyburn and then on towards Reeth where I stopped for a steak and ale pie and a buttered scone from a shop which Winston introduced me to. Very scrummy, To be honest I was a bit bored on my ride today so didnt bother going to Tan Hill even though it is very close to Reeth. Instead I headed to Hawes and the Wensleydale cheese factory where I stocked up my panniers with my favourite cheese and then headed home.  :(
I was not even motivated to take more than half a dozen pictures which is unusual for me.
I'm hoping to perhaps get out again tomorrow on the bike but I've a fair few things to do before I'm back at work on Friday. These rest days just seem to have flown by.

No more than half a dozen photos Mr Wolf ?? Things must have been bad !
So what is your favourite cheese that was taken back to the Wolf home ? I love the stuff even trying the stinky stilton a few years ago (that I thoiught I would not like) and of course ... " hummm .. that's not bad " ... a nice soft goooey brie or a strong crumbly cheddar on crispy biscuits and a LARGE glass of red ..... nice !
I know what you mean about RD,s ....  after working the last lot for Mr Obama we now have rehearsals ( The Colonels Review ) for Trooping The Colour and other visitors to our kingdom ...... what are rest days ??
