Yep, if anyone's interested, this coming Saturday, Saturday the 21st June, Allan Jeffries the local BMW dealership at Shipley in West Yorkshire is having an open day for the launch of the new S1000XR and R1200RS.
Additionally some dude called Ian Hutchinson who dabbles in the TT will be there.
Might be of interest to some of you.
Had a look at the BMW at Lincoln bike fest last Sunday , liked the Xr until he said it was nearly £15000 , plus for a sports tourer the rs has a 18.5L tank which I though is a bit on the small side, I bet the xr is fun to ride , :biker3:
Unfortunately everything with a BMW badge on it comes at a price.
They've sent me a few texts about that...Hutchy is becoming a bit of a legend

Yes, you can get a much better ride for less from Kawasaki. If I was going to buy a BMW, I think it would be the 1600 GT tourer. Done around 5000 miles on the Kwak already, so if I see a decent one with a decent part ex for mine,, I could be tempted.
The best two bikes I have ever owned which suit my style are the GTR and the K1600.
