Post by: chrille79 on June 11, 2015, 04:10:39 PM
Hi i.m new here i just bought a gtr 1400 year 2008
the temp gauge is showing 6 lines. And when i am driving highway its only goes up to 2 bars.
When idleing it goes up to 4 bars. and the fan kicking in.
The bikes has only driving 1300 miles. So the termostat should be fine?
The temperature outside is 20 celsius.
How is your bikes showing?  thanks for help

only tends to get warm when sat in traffic, always cool when on the move . Being a Global product the GTR is designed to cope with much hotter temps than the Uk/ northern Europe  can throw at it and as such has an efficient cooling system

I'm in the Texas Gulf Coast, and it is Hot and Humid here.  My 08 travels at 1 to 2 bars all year round, and at long stops, goes to 4 bars with the fans coming on.  Sounds yours is spot on.  All five Kawi's I have owned, have run on the cool side, gauge wise. Just make sure that there is the correct liquid level in the overflow tank, after sitting in the off mode, and you should be OK... tp
