i'm not into sports bike's,never have been,i can see a midlife crisis kicking in,my current bike's are a kawasaki 2012 gtr1400 & a 2008 yamaha xjr1300,i'm thinking of replacing the xjr for something a little tamer for the sunday afternoon bimble,i took a bonneville out on a test ride last saturday,i like the sound of a twin, even more so with the triumph loud pipe's on.my mate was following me on his xjr1300,he commented on how nice it sounded & took him back to his younger day's,i do like there modern classic's & need to take a thruxton out & go from there.they do a black one with a gold stripe,i couldn't stop looking at it & spent ages sitting on it,i'm waiting for there thruxton demo to be prepared for use.as much as i like the xjr it need's to go,i feel it's time for a change.
Tapps, a mid-life crisis can prove to be expensive
I've had lots of classic bikes in the past, including a BSA Gold Flash and a Velocette Venom, both of which were itches that I had to scratch, in short they were a total disappointment and are now long gone
During a time of crisis I bought a Kawasaki W650 which looks like a 'Bonny'
I think you should seriously consider one of these, they are superb, sound like a twin, go and stop reasonably well, and are very reliable...just a thought
