Title: A little help needed...
Post by: kwarrgtr on May 29, 2015, 07:14:48 PM
Hi guys, can someone do me little favour please?
I have got my damaged panels re-sprayed and am about to re-build my GTR. I have had to order new decals and completely forgot to measure their position before I handed over to the body shop – doh!
I'm okay with the very large Kawasaki Chrome on the front upper cowlings – as I have my cracked R/H side one. (I got a slightly better silver/grey one from fleabay that the shop welded and re-sprayed). But I need to know the positional dimensions for the two on the long thin side panels, and the two on the front wheel cover.

Your best bet would be to look at a photo of the bike, measure an item on both and you know the scale.
Easy peasy..

Pick any photo of the GTR that shows what you need.
Print it out.
Measure an obvious feature like say the length of the chrome part of the grab rail.
Now measure the grab rail on your bike.
Divide on by the other and you have a scale or conversion factor.
You can use that to measure up the location of the badge on the photo and then scale it up using the conversion factor.

Yeah - great..... ALL I was looking for was someone to nip outside with a tape measure and possibly a camera/phone - take a couple of photo's with dim's and tell me. But thanks a lot for your suggestion....

Never mind dealer's will be more helpful!!!!!
