Just down the road in Betws Y Coed itself this was a popular spot today. Kids paddling & dogs swimming.

Well if you do, be mindful of the sneaky bastard in the speed camera van on the A5 as you come out of Betws Y Coed. They were parked in a nearside lay-by with only about a third of the van showing from behind another vehicle, perhaps in hindsight it wasn't the best place for me to do the overtake I did..... :oops:
I've no idea what their tolerance is, or whether they have front facing cameras linked to the rear camera to catch the VRM of bikes as they pass the van but I've a feeling I'll find out pretty damn soon. :whistling:

Twas August 2011. Seems like so long ago, there's only been one year we've missed for a meet because of all the complications of the planning involved and it never came to fruition. For me the Lower Lode Inn in the Cotswolds was the best as it's such an outstanding location.
I enjoyed my first one at the belfry Forest of Dean.
It was nice to put faces to posts.
I am gutted to miss this years hopefully I will be at the next one but alas work and income has to come first.
As you said Steve it's been some years since the venues you mentioned no harm in revisits. :yes:

There was a U.K GTR meeting prior to the 2011 Swallow Falls one though, which was mid July 2010 when a few hardy members met up in the Lake District, the weather was generally dreadful and some of those under canvass even left their waterlogged tents behind :yes: ....Hopefully the weather will be kinder this year
