Title: Aftermarket exhaust for a 2015 GTR
Post by: mark1400 on May 18, 2015, 05:15:28 PM
Hi there, I pick up my new bike on Saturday and the only modification I really want to make is to put a slightly louder pipe on.
I'm considering the latest offering from Scorpion.... I'm guessing it's not too loud with the battle removed but will sound a little fruity I hope.

My question is all the exhaust systems I have seen ( slipon type ) seem to cover up to the 2013 bike, Will these exhausts fit the 2015 bike?

Many thanks in advance.
Mark.

Why do you want to remove the baffle , if you want it louder then get the right can to start with ,running with out a baffle in will not do it any good,

Beowulf are good, as are Remus, etc. Plenty out there.

Does that require some re-tuning if you fit that particular can?

I bought a Scorpion for mine. Carbon. They look and sound brilliant on the bike. I took the baffle out , no remapping needed.

On my previous bike , I fitted a Beowolf and I would recommend them too.

Both look and sound great IMO.
Cheers
Mark

Many thanks in advance.

I've got Beowulf and Remus and had both (not at the same time Pross  :mfr_lol: ) on the bike 2011 model yr.

No problems with ether can + sounds nice and fruity

i had a remus on my 12 plate gtr,it was 2nd hand when i acquired it,i had it on for about 2.5 years,it was looking shabby,i replaced it about 6 months ago with a SCORPION (carbon) finish,i prefer the scorpion over the remus.sound's good with the baffle out,it's not to intrusive.

Beowulf, Remus & scorpion all seem like good options....am i right in thinking that if the baffle is removed on all of them there will be fule issues & re mapping would be needed.

I went for an Akropovic and have to say it sounds awesome with the baffles out.
A bit expensive but decided I wanted to be different lol.

So far nobody has actually answered his question. Yes all the exhausts are the same fitment. There is no change across model years.

I used Akrapovic in 2008/9, however I had to fabricate my own link pipe to make the end can fit, it looked and sounded great, and then I bought a used Two Brothers pipe from a member on here and it was very loud so I fitted a power tip sound reduction piece and it sounded lovely and mellow without being too loud
