Title: Hi from the West Midlands!
Post by: snowy on May 02, 2015, 10:46:03 PM
Hi, the deed is done, 2008 GTR1400 now in the garage!
Had an XTZ1200, good tool, just not the comfiest for a pillion and needed to experience a bit of comfort as maturing in years.......not in attitude!
The good lady gave the thumbs up on the seat and position of the GTR, deal was good so she's mine!
Looking forward to fettling and farkling, better looking exhaust is the first thing, then better screen and mounting a Givi maxia are the essentails.
Holiday in Spain and Portugal planned later, just hope the bad press I've read about cooking the right leg aren't true!
Any tips / mods / advice readily welcomed, and hoping for a long relationship with the bike and the forum.
Finish this shift then I think "ME" time is in order.......try the GTR on mid Wales tarmac..........and chips at Barmouth......live for a plan!

Hello from another recent GTR convert!

When I bought mine, it had a Delkovich pipe fitted, but the seller threw in the original exhaust. Now, call me weird, but I prefer the sound and look of the original so I fitted that. Plus I like to stay on good terms with my neighbours

So, if you fancy it, that shiny Delkovich is sat in my garage. Yours for £50 plus whatever it costs me to ship it to you?

And if any mods are reading this, I'll pay the "advert" payment, no problem

Cheers,

PaulB

Welcome and enjoy.
This site is a wealth of help and info.
Let me know what happens with the exhaust as I am still undecided  :listencarefully:
