i had a pair of pr3's on the gtr,i got 6,600 mile's out of the pair, could have managed a few more to be honest,i then had a pair of pr4's fitted,i've got about 5,000 mile's on the 4's.front & rear have SQUARED OFF,the front's is as bad as the rear & the bike doesn't feel right, lost my confidence with the 4's so the pr3's are on order.cant wait to get them changed.
I recall reading similar comments from Winston somewhere about the 4's on his K16. I've recently had the 4's put on my K16, so far so good but then it is very early days. First impressions though they are as good as the 3's.
Just back from rufforth auto jumble ,got a pr 4 rear for £125 ,the 3 I have on the rear has done 5300m and still looks ok ,
mmmm interesting , I had a new pr4 on last year for euro trip and it was ok , ive temp put my old pr3 back on to finish off the tread. I think there is often a fine line between the performance of these tyres and its much in the brain of the rider
Just read this on PR3/4s
I am about 1000 miles from need to replace the stock factory tyres, so what are you guys using and pros and cons.
As a daily commuter, mileage and sticking to the road are key to me.
Cheers
I used to use PR3's but had more punctures on them than in my entire 40 years of riding motorcycles. So now I am using Perelli Angel GT's good grip and good wear. And no punctures so far. About 8000 miles from a rear one.

I picked up on comments from Ant and like Wolf Winston also..............................
As I use the Old War Horse for dry weather pleasure (I don't mind getting wet when out but tend to avoid setting off in the wet) I've just had a set of T30 fitted and will report back as the miles go on.
This is my first replacement set of tyres. The OE tyres lasted 6000 miles with the front one being worn (totally chopped out) more than the rear !
Guys...believe me...for Gtr the best are Pirelli Angel Gt
Now..................let me see.......................
Would that be an Italian tyre ? :punk:
Recommended by an Italian ?
:mfr_lol:
Some on here speak strongly in favour of the Angel GT
I was lazy and said ....................what have you got in stock................they'll do.............fit them :mfr_lol:
I tried the PR'3.... .. rear wheel is consumed abnormally ..... from the gimbal much more than the other side ... after 4000Miles i change it because :censored:
Pirelli Angel Gt have great grip and good mileage...for sure more than PR3
I have had a T30 on the front for 3k with no issue after a slow puncture ended the original tyre's run. The rear was replaced with a T30 last week, and I'll let you know how it got on at the IoM tt next week. The original rear did 6900 miles but I felt it needed changing before the impending holiday.

Just did a quick bimble over the weekend ( wet & dry) and got a couple of hundred miles on the tyres. They have transformed the steering from vague and loading up in corners to almost to light at walking speed and easy enjoyable bend swinging.
Early days so will keep you posted.
i have a T30 rear and it's ace.
I notice that the MCN review says they are sensitive to tyre pressure - do you still use the standard 43psi front and rear?

Yep......................any tyre / bike combination is sensitive to incorrect pressure ime
PR4's front and rear. Just passed 8k miles on them and still plenty more to go, and I do A LOT of motorway/autobahn riding
