Chaps, I need to replace my rear tyre valve as I've stripped the thread using a 90 ° extention.
Can someone give me the part number of the same or a replacement that will still carry the TPS preferably an angled valve. Thanks
for the straight one phone a Kawasaki dealer , Corby Kawasaki are very good at mail order and on their site they give you access to Microfische , but they can get part numbers for you .
The angle valves come from murphs kits in usa and also a german site, I will dig you out there details soon
this is the german site , however a message says no deliveries

murph does not always show them on the site , you may need to email and ask, also ask him how much for shipping, don't use the automated service as it calculates postage wrong

No 40 notes is just the valve stem the TPS sits on

When I spoke to the dealer about my rear TPS he told me about the new type and on some models there is a spacer to fit the new TPS. I presume it's the older models with the soldered battery in the TPS.
valve part and TPS part are separate items , £40 valve and £170 plus TPS, when your tyre guy breaks the parts its usually the valve part . Its just the valve part that gets changed to and angle stem
So, I got my wheels off to replace both valves, £40 each, robbing people, and thought whilst I'm doing doing the valves, I may as well tackle the battery issue in the TPS, so I ordered some new batteries to solder in place. They were about £3 each. The TPS came apart really easy exposing the inners. So I replaced those and then thought, well I have the tyres off, I may as well order some new boots to put back on as only just above the wear bars.
Comparing new and old
Soldering was easy, although I left the old battery arms on so I kept the heat away from the board
It all clipped back together easy, I just added some insulating tape around the join and firmed it up with some tiny cable ties. Out of interest, if anyone else has done this, did they find theirs glued together as mine just pulled apart, might be it's age and the glue perished.
Cracking job.
Someone posted pictures on here of doing a replace without removing the tyres and used 2 sash clamps.
If you can do it your way and you have the tools brill. :punk:
why didn't you just fit the angle valves instead of the Kawasaki straight ones, you obviously prefer 90 deg valves
Viper, I couldn't find them to be honest, I needed them a bit urgent as needed the bike back on the road. I would have preferred them however I do carry a 6" flexible valve extension to get around those supermarket air pumps.
