Hello All,
My job requires i wear a suit. i choose to own a motorbike because traffic and i really don't like cars.
so has anybody out there any good tips for arriving at place of work with suit jacket uncrumpled.
in the office, i don't bother it lives in the wardrobe however when out travelling the country i need it with me and i'm not sure the reverse-inside-out-fold-and-stuff-in-pannier trick is the best solution.
i have tried wearing it under my leather jacket but it's not comfortable.
There is firm across the pond.that makes a one piece over suit that zips from the neck down the leg you just step in zip up and away you go a bit pricey but if that's what you need.
It's called aerostitch.com

I do this wear I pack my coats.
Just shove it in a carrier bag and then in the panniers, nobody will notice. Be as good as new when you get it out.
My wife has tried to teach me how to properly fold clothes but I just can't seem to make it work. In fact, she folds my shirts for me so they won't wrinkle on business trips (bike or cage). She's a genius when it comes to folding. Me, not so much.
When I'm touring I even fold the mucky stuff. I have found that properly folding clothes maximises stowage capacity!
That it does.
I take the suit jacket (folded obviously) in a carrier bag in the top box along with my suit shoes :) It's always been fine when I arrive.
As for the packing when we go away I find the clothes tightly rolled and stored in the pannier bags has always been fine for us. 17 days in Europe and no issues.
Carrier bag, told you so.
thanks for all suggestions. i'll go with carrierbag as they seem cheaper than aerostitch

As long as you fold it the correct way it don't matter what you put it in.
Turn it inside out and roll it up .. Do NOT fold ... Roll ! Into a plastic bag and will be fine.
