Title: Flushed through my fluids
Post by: viper on March 31, 2015, 06:29:24 PM
Changed the front brake fluid , back brake and clutch fluid today . Ive done the front fluid before but as the bike is 5 years old I thought it was high time the rear brake and clutch got done.
The fluid that came out of the clutch was particularly nasty even a few air bubbles came with it .

Im going to do a coolant flush out and exchange over the weekend

50% of the fluid in this jar is actually new and the front brake fluid was good so you can see how bad the clutch fluid was. Also a bit of crap in the clutch reservoir which was  Q tipped out first

brakes were easy to do , also took out all pads and cleaned everything up with brake cleaner
everything gone back now and getting very good resistance on all the levers, back brake is noticeably firmer
easy process for the clutch just used the lower nipple and only had to take the rubber part off that goes around the clutch housing
