I have purchased some 2inch risers from a site zeberdee recommended .
What I am unsure about I know they will come with new longer bolts does anyone know if theses will be long enough for the risers and the Kawasaki Satnav mount or will I need even longer bolts??.
Never gave it a thought when ordering thanks all in advance. :help:
Hi
You should get longer bolts with risers.

Hi

Yes there is new bolt for the risers but I am unsure if they wil do the Satnav bracket as well
If the space you loose a 1/4 inch max will make any difference
I'm not sure about the specific brand you bought but my risers came with longer bolts, just not long enough to fit the bracket. Hope yours works, good luck.
They are the advanced sport ones from across the pond.
I will find out I suppose when the arrive a bit of trial and error is there any spare thread when you fit or are the spot on hopefully I can put the Kawasaki Satnav bracket on as well
If they are too short Pross, just get some longer ones off fleabay
Pross did you not get an option to chose which bolts ya wanted? If you contact the manufactures they should tell ya and even sell ya the ones ya need lol :) don't use bolts that are to short they may pull out under hard braking and you won't be ably to torque em without pulling the threads out

Thanks Debs my thought as well when they arrive.
What's going on with your little note at the bottom :censored:
Just noticed that myself... :mfr_lol:
Just an update for potential purchasers.
Risers and other bits arrived today shipped the 17 th march from advanced sport touring in the USA
As due.
But on top of the purchase price and delivery costs around £111 ( 160 dollars ).
I had to pay parcel force another £26 before they would deliver import and additional postal charges :censored:
They stat if not paid returned in 20 days so add this on if thinking of buying it makes fleabay look cheap if not coming from abroad :mfr_lol: :censored:
Just an update for those unsure of the process. I phoned parcel force who delivered it in the UK. A % is import duty that goes up with the value of goods and the balance is handling fee to open and check contents carefully and repackage.
In my case out of 40$ £26 it is £12.40 vat/duty and £13.50 handling/inspection fee.
Yea like they do that, they just read the label that sates the value of content and add on a free
You should have got Jim to send them you and marked the package contents down....silly you :whistling:

Didn't know Jim or anyone would do that Ant .you always find out when it's too late :censored:
My rear crash bars cost an extra £36 Import VAT and inspection handling charge :censored:.
That's your fault for not having some rears made :mfr_lol: :whistling:
And I still may need to buy longer bolts for the satnav/risers

I am looking at getting some risers myself. The only ones I have seen are Helibars. Are these any good and are there any better ones out there.
Any recommendations appreciated. (along with websites, so I can check em out).
Hi marcmacd.
I have the advanced sports touring 2 inch risers. Well impressed with them fitted easily predrilled for the brake hoses to move the pipes enough spare pipe to do this they also have a video to help install.
They came with new bolts 80 mm but I swapped these for 100 mm and fitted my Kawasaki Satnav bracket. I did a 140 mile round test and found the turning in sharper, and less aching in my elbows I have the bigger touring screen on and they clear this ok.
Some of the people across the pond slate them regarding delivery and contact but mine came when due the only hold up was our parcel force wanting the import fee before delivery.
As some one said on here ask Jim about sending them for you to save some cash if interested.

Yes, as I said in my comments, I have seen helibars, but before I buy, I was canvassing views on what others are using and pros/cons between the different types.
I have the helibars fitted.Good quality and fit but not perfect position for me so added the adapters from advanced/s/t .again good quality and fit.Perfect riding position for now. I see your not to far from me Lincoln .Your welcome to come and have a sit .
