Title: Versys
Post by: Winston Smith on February 20, 2015, 10:16:05 AM
Popped into our local dealership (5-Ways) with a mate who is in the market after a few years off bikes.

They had the new Versys 1000 in stock in white.  Have to say it is a good looking machine. Was in the show room next to the last stock of the old model, in green.  Comparing them side by side and from the saddle the shared parts was amazing.  Other than the prettier bodywork, the only difference I could see was the forks, with longer stantions on the new one.  Even the front mudguard was the same!

The new model was up for about £9.5k.  No luggage.

The old stock (unregistered) was full tour spec and reduced from £10300 to £8300.  It was a lot of bike for very little money if anyone is in the market.

If I was in the market for a new bike I would be very tempted.

They also have it on interest free for £199/month or PCP at £99/month

The 2015 Versys 1000 also has better brakes improved more torquey engine/power delivery, different rear subframe which facilitates easy on/off panniers, centre stand, improved brakes with larger rotors, new body work, improved clutch and new improved rubber engine mounts, improved instrumentation.

Its a very good value package and worthy of serious consideration...plus its megga comfy
