Title: Semi retirement or part time
Post by: BigAlan on February 12, 2015, 10:21:32 AM
So this old (58) git starts his semi retirement on April 1st, now only working three days a week, Mon, Tues and Wed, so i call it semi retirement, others call it part time.

Who cares, more time to play on the bike.

Alan

Don't wish your life away Steve  :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol:

TJF as one of my friends has just said

I have to say - it is very liberating leaving that outfit as you don't have anything other than moral restrictions  :single fuck:

Alan, I would bet that after April 1st you'll be wondering how the hell you found the time to fit work into your busy schedule

Good luck to you as I'm sure that you've earned it mate

I was 60 last November and have reduced my work for the year ahead to around 100 days! A good friend retires at the end of this month and we intend to meet in the morning on Tuesdays and Fridays of most weeks (weather permitting) and ride around for a while, have lunch and then head for one of the evening meets in the area with no rush to get home.

Someone else that I know however went onto three days a week last year and has now accepted a "more than full time" position with his existing employer - he is now working a six - day week.

Congratulations on that, nice one  although I'd have Monday and Friday off so every weekend is 4 days long.

I had planned to retire at 60 but B.P (bless them) transferred me over to another company who have no share match scheme, bonus or final salary pension  dropping a massive dollop of  :shit: on my plans, Thanks.
