Title: Returning to the fold
Post by: coastrider on January 28, 2015, 08:27:37 PM
Hi all
I sold my last, blue, gtr in 2012 then missed it quite a bit.
Now I have landed a 2012 blue gtr to take its rightful place in the garage. Picking it up Saturday all being well.
Looking forward to getting back in the groove. :banana:

Welcome,  :185: welcome. What did you have in-between the two GTR's if indeed anything?

In between the GTR's I have had the following;
An Aprillia RSV mille to play on. Loved it but needs to be ridden way too fast to enjoy its capabilities.
I also tried a Triumph Sprint GT which was good but bland, then I got a Kawaskaki Z1000SX which I still have and will be selling to replace with the GTR. The SX is a brilliant all rounder and a very competent bike but I miss the luxury of the GTR along with its own take on all rounder. When I had my last one I quite often got the comment that a bike that big shouldn't be able to do that!!
Bring it on back :grin:

Welcome, yes the GTR is certainly special, often a surprise to those who don't understand it or know what it can do. Hooligan to armchair dependent on my mood. Great.

Well that was a baptism of fire. Tested the bike and got it home blessed by 37 mph winds and 50 mph gusts.
Good to be back on board though
