After joining the forum last week whilst still chewing my heart out about what to do regarding buying a GTR, ie new one, used one, what year, what colour, all the time worried about making the right choice of bike at all. we struggled to find a demonstater anywhere near where we live ( Leyburn )we were on the verge of buying a new 09 model from a dealer down sarf, but then found a dealer up norf with a used one (08) he would let me have a dash on, so off me and my good lady went on saturday morning bright and early destination Wigan. I loved the bike and enjoyed my couple of hours out on it and was satisfied that it would indeed fulfill all our needs,my, good lady is still not convinced that we need something as big as a GTR, but after my ride I assured her that as I expected It didnt feel at all big to ride, and I had no problems at all , indeed I was amazed how managable it was even on half worn tyres. Any way on arrival back at the dealership I asked if they could supply us with an 09 model but the answer was no, they only had the used one that I had ridden or a new 011 one, I said there was no way we could have a new one as the price of them was out of our reach. BUT he took us on one side and came up with a deal that we simply could not believe,we were shocked ( more later) at the offer for our two bikes that we had to trade in, which was way above what we had expected, so after much counting on fingers we made the decision to have a spanker in green. Happy days eh? you would think so, BUT the enormity of the days proceedings, ie expectation, exitement, deep joy, trepidation, and decisions , decision, had a very strange effect on me. My brain was swimming, my stomach was doing cartwheels, by the time we arrived home I was feeling really ill (stop laughing at the back) I eventually put myself on the floor, before I fell on it, I was in shock, and was feeling awfull for the rest of the evening, Anyway all is well today and we can look forward to the new arrival some time this week. I will report back with my thoughts on the bike soon cheers Geoff ;D

Well Done Geoff ... that is excellent news ! We all know that you will just love the new bike and with the longer days here already it looks as if your timing was perfect !
Once again, that's great stuff .
Nice one Geoff, the beasty looks great in green, enjoy.
Don't forget the top box and back-rest, colour coded of course. She will feel a lot safer with one of those behind her, as acceleration can be very rapid indeed if your in the mood !!
Excellent Geoff!
Enjoy it, they are awesome.
