As I fellow spotter myself (both varieties :mfr_lol:) I would say from that short clip that it's too big to be a common Buzzard or Goshawk, (if you get then up their ?) colours looked wrong to be a Sea Eagle or Osprey (where you near the coast ? I realise that you aren't far anywhere from the coast on the Isle) I checked on RSPB bird finder site and it looked like a Golden Eagle to me :punk: :punk:  Plus I doubt if any of these would hunt in a Golden Eagles territory, law of the jungle.
Also did you watch the recent Ray Mears programme ? in the episode on the I.O.S they spotted Golden Eagles.
You lucky lucky boy
thanks dave, I knew when it flew past the car it was special as it was so big, couldn't wait to check the footage, ive put it on a RSPB forum so hopefully someone will confirm.
I realise that that a sighting like this is very rare and for it to fly past is a once in a lifetime moment , plus I was listening to a Freddie mercury song ( you can hear it) and the lyric just before was" spread your wings and fly away"
im so pleased
Bill doesn't look right for a Golden Eagle. It also wasn't carrying a sheep or a deer....another good indication.
