True.
How about the following tagline: they come for the GTR but stay for the people
...I'll be quiet now!

Or create an "other bikes" section so keep the GTR threads from being polluted

Or we could all just try and get along in harmony, love each other, respect each other, & buy each other a pint at the BMW annual meet in The Lakes next year. :whistling:
Spread the love peeps :)
Nah, just change it to ex-GTR1400 owners. ;-)

Dont worry Debs, there's a good chance that the German bikes will be in the dealers workshops having new short engines and/ or gearboxes fitted. So they may not even get there. :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol:
Trust me, I'll be there.

There are two things which concern me deeply about that photo.....
1/ Why is someone sat on a bike playing a banjo or whatever it is. (I wont even mention the guys excuse for a helmet)!
2/ Why is the guy sat on the other bike staring longingly and lovingly into the banjo playing guy's eyes!
That photo is just wrong on so many levels.
Yes and what is white shirt man doing with his left hand, underneath the helmet

I'm sure this guy was at the Prestcot Hill Climb - Very Authentic!!! I'm sure there are a few on here, especially the BMW Riders with slippers that could match him..... LOL  :whistling:
The chap on the Shuttleworth Snap, is also a regular visitor at the "Festival of a thousand bikes"at Mallory park.

I think you'll find that the answer lies within the name George Formby Steve.....its a BMW thing and will all become clear to you in the fullness of time :mfr_lol: :whistling:
He's always on the banjo! Not bad either!

I believe the Shuttleworth Flyer was a Triumph.....perhaps a Trophy would be the natural progression after a Versys, sorry, GTR....keep getting confused what site this is with the championing of the V1 (Oh heck! That
was German) :whistling:
The original was a disguised 350 AJS, but the current replica is a modified 1920s flat tank Triumph
Anyway getting back on Topic reference Site name change, naaah its good as it is, anyway whether someone rides a BMW  or not really does not matter we are all members of the motorcycling fraternity, and most on this site seem to ride in all weathers and some big mileages, so true Bikers, so if they want to stay and slum it with us poor GTR owners lol, I have no problems, anyway I wont see them, well only in rear view mirrors
No 73, Bravo :mfr_lol:
