"TwoWheelJunkie" , an ebay seller has a lot on gtr stuff on at the moment , I noticed that they were selling a chain guard for the GTR, yes a chain guard, I thought id have a bit of fun with them and emailed asking if they would check and tell me if this will definitely fit my chain , haha. They answered saying they have checked and it definitely is ok for the GTR , I pointed out to them that the GTR is a shaft drive and got a fairly rude response saying they would continue to sell.
Just check out their amount of neg feedbacks , 192 ! . They obviously are just after your money regardless of wether the item is right or not, some buyers have struggled with refunds ect

I sent them a message but they have not yet answered... :mfr_lol:
Dear twowheeljunkie,
Why do you sell items for the GTR 1400 which do NOT fit the bike? I know as I own one.
You make yourselves look stupid because you don't know anything about the bike. lol

Deb's I cant understand why they haven't replied! :mfr_lol:
The chain guard sale has ended as of dec 10th. Reason: the item is no longer available. Guess questioning them made them think twice about continuing the sale...
This is the description posted on the guard. makes you want one for when you go road racing. . . :mfr_lol:
Product Description
R&G Racing's new, road-racing inspired toe guard has been developed in conjunction with roads hero Ryan Farquhar. Made from lightweight, high-density polyethylene, it features slots for improved positioning and a longer-than-usual kickback, in order to ensure adequate coverage of the sprocket in cases of running a long wheelbase - a typical feature of road racing.

That was what I was thinking, too. Must have a program that just inserts models into each deal they post.

yes possibly , but just think of the returns, and all at their cost on postage both ways, not a great way to protect your margains

Yep. Hopefully buyers will recognize that a product advertised isn't actually made for their scoot. If they don't know that then, Caveat Emptor, my friends. . .
selling tyre Goop for a bike with TPS is going to invite a small claims court demand, the owner will hold them responsible for stating its ok on the GTR
If I was gullible and/or dumb enough to not know the fallacy in doing that, maybe I shouldn't be allowed to own a motorcycle. Kinda like the lady that sued McDonalds here because she spilled her coffee, bought from them, in her lap, and claimed it was too HOT. She won too. Hope your courts aren't that stupid... tp

They don't pay postage on returns, even if the description is wrong. YOU pay and that's where EBay is in the wrong.
I heard a story of a seller that knowingly sold products that did not match description but made 10p on their postage costs, so they sell you a product that costs £1 to pack and post but charge you £1.10. You are unhappy and return for a refund (return postage is at your cost) seller has returned product to sell again but has made 10p on every transaction. Could just be a story but the math makes it work

Coman - we are not Americans. It's got an 's' on the end!

There's more Canadians and Texans on here so I did it for them

Coman, things have changed recently on ebay regarding returns. I have sent two items back in the last few weeks , both from ebay shops, both times ebay (or the seller) provided me with a prepaid address label that I printed off, It cost me zip !
Hi Viper,
I am aware that some honourable eBays shops will pay for returns, a lot don't and private sellers generally don't, caveat emptor
Ps
I am a great fan of EBay when used correctly, I have bought 4 cars, at least 10 bikes and hundreds of doo-day from the site with very little drama
