Title: Dumb question - has anybody fitted the 'Projekt-D handebar handy stick'?
Post by: hurricane on December 01, 2014, 11:59:50 AM
Does it come as a pair or individual?. And the length that protrudes from the inside of the bar is ? (mm or inches). I've got a GPS unit right there which will allow for about 35mm each side. With the MC Cruise control unit above my LH bar, I'm running out of space for my UHF set and my Sena SR10 unit. Thanks heaps....

They come as individuals.

Contact Projektd. They will give you the answers you need.

They're a neat idea but I'm not a fan.

This is my preferred RAM ball option...

Thanks all. DD, I'm with you on that 'I'm not a fan' and I wouldn't use it either in favor of the simple RAM ball mounts shown on yours - but unfortunately (on the left side) that is where my MC Cruise control unit is - no room there. In terms of length, if they are too long I can always machine cut the inside edge down by the required amount to clear my GPS (I've got the lockable Touratech mount for the Garmin 660 in the middle (part number 065-0523) and on the stem mount it rises quite high, top edge of the Garmin will probably just clear the handy stick if it's no longer than 40mm. BTW, what's all that wet stuff over your bike? Is that rain

I have the 660 locking mount on my BMW F800GS... I like them a lot, wasn't sure whether to get one for the GTR1400 though.

Rain indeed. I ride in all weathers: rain or shine. Riding the GS at the moment.
