It's amazing how laid back and friendly this forum is compared to some.
I registered on trucknet today, only one person commented, and that was to pickup on a possible tacho infringement due to having 2 jobs on the go. He was right as it happens, but a friendly hello would not have gone amiss. :whistling:
A tacho infringement eh, where did you say you worked....... :mfr_lol:
Only kidding of course, yes this forum is undoubtedly the friendliest place ever. Everybody seems to behave themselves and get on, which is nice.
Well, not an infringement, more of a technicality.
It transpires, as I only drive on a Monday, but work in an unrelated industry the rest of the week, I still have to record every hour I work on either an approved analogue chart, or on a digital roll, in the correct format, for every day of the week.
Just keeping a diary is not sufficient.

That's correct.. You don't have to be driving to clock up your working hours during the week, and it is all included with your driving hours.
Welcome you will be sorry you joined lol
Yorkshirepud, now why am I hungry all of a sudden?
Welcome, I am fairly new here and found everyone to be very friendly and laid back- very welcoming and helpful-, it is , however, noticeable that they are all barking mad as well! Maybe it's because we are all Bikers? I mean, look at the difference in warmth and accessibility between a Moto GP paddock and F.1.

Well Jim, that's because you simply don't do proper roast dinners in North America. I spent a month in BC this year, and that was the only thing I really missed about home, the food! :-)
i think most forums are like that these days! this forum was a bit frosty at first and 1 member was particularly rude but once I settled in everything was good and I can say what I want without rebuke
just give it time and don't expect too much is the best way to settle.

You can't be talking about me...my Mom was English, we had those dinners all the time over here and my wife (US) can do the Yorkshire pudding just as well. What I do miss are the apple puddings she used to make. Never did get the recipe out of her for that. Kept complaining that she couldn't get the proper suet over here.
