Title: Hardly a mile munching trip but .....
Post by: shaggs147 on November 10, 2014, 12:06:17 AM
Finally had the time to put the bike back together after sorting out all the crap that French Kawasaki dealership in Limoges left me with, then gave the bike a good scrub to get the dead euro bugs off the paintwork.
Managed to get the bike out tonight to stretch its legs and test all the systems. It was only a short ride out, but all systems seem to be working well and it felt great to be out on the bike again after two months!
Ooh it looks good again back in one piece    :mfr_lol:

Oh yes! Was strange to finally get out on it again, a bit like picking up a new bike for the first time.

Look many others I've been following this story with interest and sympathy and I'm chuffed to read that's it back on the road after all the  :shit: you went through.

You held your nerve better than I would have done  :gunsmilie:

Congratulations   :biker3:

After months of emails, reports, pictures, and wiring diagrams bouncing back and forth to my credit card company and Kawasaki, I am pleased to confirm that I have finally won my case and am getting the money back from those useless idiots at Meillat Motos. It wasn't about me getting the money back in the end, it was more satisfying that Meillat  Motos had to pay the cash back and have been found out to be a waste of fresh air. Oh happy days!

That's really good news.  Did you get it back from the Moto company, Kawasaki or the credit card co?

Hi Burchy, I asked the credit card company if the  money was from them, and they said that it was definitely coming from the garage, as they had to return the money. The credit card company said they carried out sub standard and unnecessary work. The fact the garage had to return the money was a better feeling  than getting it back into my account. I'm a happy chappie tonight!  Haha

Thats good to know.  I always think that the card companies get the shitty end of the stick when caught up in the middle like this.  Hardly their fault, but often end up carrying the can.  I know they can afford it, but that's not the point

Cheers everyone. I had the same problem once with  pet insurance for my dog, another open and shut case where the insurance company were blatantly trying to rip me off. There was a lot of messing around with the ombudsman before the insurance company finally  paid out. I just get really annoyed when companies rip people off, and feel very sorry for those people who get ripped off and can't or don't know how to get the cash back.
