Hi Guys,
I noticed, many bikers who do not own a garage, cover their bikes over the night or when they do not ride for a longer period (week or so).
Currently I have my bike outside without any cover.
I was afraid of condensation and thought it is actually worse to cover it. I live in Ireland and humidity is quite high here, but also the wind. So I am thinking, when it rains, it will dry soon too. Although at night it's probably quite wet.
Could you please let me know your thoughts?
Thanks!
you need a breathable but waterproof type,
i would have thought if it rans it will get wet then as it is drying it will start to rust especially discs ,nuts and bolts calipers ect ,i would get a good quality cover . well worth paying for good quality to protect your pride and joy.
I would get a cover
just beware, with wind, if your bike is dirty or you park up and over gravel, the wind will pick up the gravel, and it will act as sandpaper where the cover touches you bike. Leaving dull paintwork.... :-(
I don't have any solution for this.... Sorry.
Neil
I use a Total Enclosure System cover.

You will need the XXL size to cover the bike with panniers on..
A cover and ACF50.
Is there a garage you can rent very locally to your house? Might cost you £20 a month approx, would be worth it. Maybe someone close by who's no longer using their garage etc, ask around, you never know.
Local estate agents may have lock-ups or garages on their books
To rent a garage down here is between £50 & £80 pm
