Well, 27 to be precise - IBA TT1000 (http://thewellers.net/ralliesandrides/Iron%20Butt/TT1000/TT1000.htm).
Kevin
Never mind WHY do you do it I dont know HOW you do it. :o
Riding consistently like that, especially in appaling conditions and unknown territory, huge respect to you both. An excellent write up with photos to match.
Whats next?? ;D
Just Brilliant ... well done to you !
WTF - that sounds like a torture test rally! Don't think my butt would have made it. Next surely must be America from East coast to West in one shot? ;D
NB ... don't be a juvenile ... I am sure that was done ages ago ! ;D ;D
Thanks. The primary reason we write these is because it's a good way to remember the events ourselves but (and I don't know how to say this without sounding trite) it's nice to know other people like to read them as well. :)
It's rally season so that's what's next - Brit Butt (http://www.britbuttrally.org/), Wolfcub (http://www.thegrimrider.com/index16fa.html?p=1_100_BBL-Wolfcub-Rally) which I screwed up last year by returning late and losing loads of points, Wolfhound (http://ibaireland.org/WolfhoundRally.aspx) and Magic 12 (German Butt Light) (http://www.frankschubert.net/rally/magic-12-rally-2011/).
We intend to do a 'wander' round the US at some point and I'm definitely thinking about a 50CC (coast to coast in < 50 hours). I'd like to attempt an Ultimate Coast to Coast (coast to coast to coast in < 100 hours) but I don't know whether I'll get away with that when we're supposed to be on holiday.
Kevin
kevin awe inspiring stuff as always my deepest respect to you both and another great write-up
Kevin .... you are not sounding trite at all ... it's people like you who have the time, money and inclination to do such things that keep the rest of us wanting more ! I for one love your web site, pictures and narration, keep it all coming and do what you want 'cos we love to hear about it ! We can all plan out trips, journeys and adventures so no matter how large or small they are we should all share them out and enjoy it for what it is .... one of life's adventures. Good for you.
