It seems some heartless bastard this evening has set fire to Manchester dogs home and killed in the region of 50 dogs. Police have someone in custody for it but as is probably the case they'll get bugger all if they get convicted.
Why would anyone choose to do such a despicable act?
agree - very sad.
perhaps being dog food could be the punishment?
Apparently some young teenager who needs a bloody good hiding
Very sad just heard :(
Very sad.. Latest figures is 60

could not even finish reading it
Vile human being to do that to animals. Sickening to read that story
We all know the punishment won't fit the crime. Hopefully someone will get hold of him and teach him a lesson. Set the police dogs on the bastard and don't tell em to let go.
15 year old twat.
All of our animals, (not pets) are rescued and members of our family. We love em more than most people. I would have no hesitation in putting down the piece of shit that did this in the same way he condemned those poor animals to their end.
The only lower species in court will be the snout-in-trough scumbag lawyer defending the little twat.
Sorry if I offend those whose opinions differ but to be honest I don't care.
Appalling indeed ..... the ray of hope that comes from this is not that someone may spend time in custody ( he won't ) but over £165,000 has already been donated to this place, meaning that there are dog lovers out there willing to show everyone that our loved canines are indeed for life and even those who are not dog owners have I am sured sent money.

It's now at £1.393 Million.

It just strikes me that nearly £1.5M could be better spent than on a building is/was/should be was insured and full of animals that no-one seemingly wanted

That's not what the money is about. It's about initially a community and then people from other parts of the UK even overseas all rallying together, recognising the grief and trauma this incident has caused to so many and showing solidarity by providing financial support as well as support via other means to those who need it.
As for the dogs not being wanted, the dogs which perished were actually in a segregation unit waiting to be re homed as they had been picked by new owners and were awaiting the final stages of the adoption process prior to going to their new homes. They were very much wanted.
