Hi folks!
Well I've been offline for several months now because it's been an absolutely CRAZY summer.
I hope that you are all well and were able to get some sunny riding in this year!
Here's what's been going on with me:
1) I got proposed another job so I've been negotiating with this other company non stop since mid March.
2) Got married in July, at my folks place in the south of France, so had to do all the preparations ourselves etc.
3) After-Wedding Party carried on for literally two weeks because we had loads of friends over from all over the world and they stayed for their holiday
4) The day I went back to work, I finally signed a contract with this new company. So Handed in my notice with my current outfit after more than 10 years
5) Turned 40 years old, so big party for that too.
6) I have moved house again - now back in the French Alps after a 3 year stint in Italy... Incidentally, the road from the valley up to my new pad is EXCELLENT! :biker3:
7) I'm sure I must have forgotten something....
Anyway I need a holiday, so I'm negotiating my leaving terms and trying to get a 4 week holiday in before I start with the new mob.
it's all good really, but It's been quite stressful of late!
Also, I have very little to do at work all of a sudden, so thought I'd come back and say hi :)
Cheers
Ros
Oooooo Ros you have been a busy bee. :mfr_lol:
Bloody ell mate
:hammer: How are you going to top that list next year Ros ?
You need a 52 week session of R&R
It's gonna take me a year to recover, I reckon!
Still trying to negotiate getting out of this company with a month of hols... If all goes well, I'll be on hols tomorrow so can go and re-explore the frog mountains on my GTR which just cost me 400 EUR.
I took it to get its service (24,000 KM) and because they've closed down the dealer in Grenoble, I had to go to the other side of Albertville to get it done. It's about a 45minute trip. Fine on a GTR, but they lent me a Z1000SX............. with panniers.
After 5 minutes I had a numb arse and was deaf from the wind noise! Besides that, you go from 0-Disco in less than a quarter turn of the throttle so it was bloody difficult to ride at a constant speed. Not only that, it weighs nothing and feels about as big as a mountain bike! Out of the corners it wants to lift the front wheel, and you have to check the speedo every 2.5 seconds just to make sure you're not creeping cos you can't hear the engine over the wind noise. Arrgh!
When I picked up my bike this evening, the COMFORT was incredible!! wow! Also the delivery of power is so much more predictable...
Think I'll hang on to it for a bit longer
My wife wants to get her license now too - she's oggling some Triumph steeds at the moment... Let's see eh?
Cheers
