Post by: Kawdolph on September 01, 2014, 07:01:50 PM
I have an oppotunity to upgrade my zzr to a z1000 which is on a 2011 reg with 7000 miles, it has renthal bar tail tidy crash mushrooms aka cans and you get all the original parts with it. Always wanted a z 1000 but i cant find any hard luggage and wondering if anyone has a mate with the z1000 sx and what they think of that model ,have attached a pic of z

My Mrs has a Z1000SX and test rode the Z1000 found that after coming from a ZX10R the SX was the best compromise still has the wind/weather protection as the ZX10R but the comfort of the Z1000 the only thing I gotta say is I just spent £300 having the suspension set up as it was to hard for her and even me and now you can ride it like a ZX10R. Hope this helps.

I had a '57 '58  plate one last year and it was ok, not much good for around here though as its so flat and straight everywhere on the roads, so not much fun.

I felt like I was hanging over the front all the time, hence selling and getting the Busa.

You'll notice a massive difference at speed when the wind is trying to rip your arms off, and you'll find the acceleration quite tame..... perhaps a good thing helping you hold onto your license  :surrender:

A fun bike to ride in the right environment .......
