After a huge trip through the Scottish Cairngorms yesterday and spending most of the day pissing off the ignorant Harley riders, by waving at them with arms & legs, as they made their way to 'Thunder in the Glen' hahaha... We were rewarded with a great photo opertunity:)
Fantastic pic Dibz, perfect rainbow frame! Nice one

I can say if you want the ultimate riding experience without travelling abroad, then you will find the best roads in the country up here. I live just north of Edinburgh, other side of the Forth Suspension Bridge and I literally only have to ride 20 mins up the road and I'm in the Hills. Endless twisties and great views.. An hour of that and then its mountain country. I could show u pics of great places to go and that, but it won't do it justice.. You really do just need to experience it for yourself to get the Grin factor :) It's just the unpredictable weather that can ruin the views for ya that's all.
Dibz, Rusty & I have done Scotland two years running now, however I often pop up to Scotland, usually Portpatrick for a pub lunch at The Waterfront. Terrific little community up there. Many years ago I used to live in Forres which I'm sure you will know or have heard of.
@ The Wolf you must let us know next time you pop up I may just come with ya :)

Yeah... Up near Elgin... Only been up that way once.. But planning a lot more trips for next season to head further up north. Never used to bother going that far on the sports bikes, but now we have more practical bikes for distance we've got plenty of places up here that we need to tick off the "to do list".
It's been a great few months taking it all in on the GTR.. Instead of me and the lads racing everywhere and not seeing a thing on the old bikes. My wife and I rode down to Devon a month ago, then back up through Wales on the return trip, could never of done something like that on the Fireblade. We're both loving the new touring experience, and as much as I enjoyed 1000cc Sport toys... I don't think I could ever go back now.

That's a date. :mfr_lol:
I've had 5 trips to Scotland during my biking career including the "must do" Loch Torridon and Applecross  last year we stayed in a wooden Pod on a farm in Dumfries and Galloway and yes I agree with the comment about it being the ultimate biking experience without leaving our shores, but it's quite a way from sunny Norfolk :biker3:
Rusty managed to get there twice now and all the way from West Sussex!
