as anybody seen or have something more substantial than a ground anchor and chain , something like a lockable bike choc or a steel bar , something that will stand up to an angle grinder. I don't think any chain or D lock can defeat a grinder., Im after some ideas so I can fabricate my own
thanks

I have a bump stop fitted to my shed floor thatchem rated but still if they have time a grinder will :censored: it up
forget all your Thatcham this and gold secure that , a £50 cordless angle grinder will slice through like butter.
I am afraid there is very little which will resist a grinder.

So true as I said if they have time it's there's
something like this could be modified to make it difficult to get the grinder to the bar

They'd just cut the blue stand in half. If they're cheeky enough, and want it enough, it won't matter what you put on. They can only be seen as things to slow them down and inconvenience them. Would be more effective to take a wheel off lol.

Keep a :censored: great half-starved Alsatian in the garage.
Seriously, keep it out of sight, always lock the steering lock, fit a ground anchor and chain and keep your insurance paid up.
If the :censored: :shit: :censored: :asshole: want it they WILL have it. That's what the insurance is for.
If they can make a load of noise and use angle grinders then there is nothing that can not be cut, given 1mm cut of discs or 1mm diamond discs.
If they have to be quiet, then as the youtube vids show, given a very large set of bolt croppers chains will not stop them, or one of these, which will cut 22mm re-bar.

A decent alarmed disc lock will cause them more problems, can not be cut with bolt croppers, but does not prevent the bike being picked up and stuck in the back of a van.
I have a Xena XX14 which is a nice chunk of Stainless Steel, and fits in the glove box.

Boomer....they'll be no mention of any half starved dogs thank you very much! :mfr_lol:
I think you'll find that a fully nourished German Shepherd will enjoy having a munch on a bike thief just as much as your next Shepherd. :whistling:

And extremely vocal with it.
My folks had geese when living on a remote farm, you could not sneak in their place, viscous bleeders :)
When I was a teenager, my friend's parents lived on a farm and had no other security except geese, all doors were always left unlocked and nothing was ever lost! At that time, theft from farms was probably as prevelant as it is now.
Certainly to me, when they charged hissing and spitting they were a frightening sight.
Won't bore you with the " why's and therefores " but I am about to purchase an Abus Disc Lock Granite Sledg 77 grip in yellow !.. That should help but of course they can always pop a skateboard under the front wheel .....

Where do you carry the geese.....in the side cases? Give them little goggles and leather helmets? Not sure I could deal with geese on a long trip, they might not like it. Probably would rather fly. Just don't see this as practical unless you live on a farm.

:agree: :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol:
Tie the geese to the handlebars with a piece of string 100 ft long, and tell them your route...... Lightens the bike and saves fuel ....
Probably will need more than two...it's a heavy bike.
Just keep them out of sight if possible,,,,,if not, have good insurance and keep your steering lock and disc lock on to satisfy the policy.
You may find insurance payout to be more than selling ! :whistling:
