we call em dee dahs
us in hull have a terrible lazy/don't move your mouth accent,  we say farv and narn for 5 /9   warn for wine
we should be brilliant ventriloquists cos we don't open our mouths when we talk
and what makes it worse is when hull folk try to talk posh, phone become fern road becomes rerd orchard becomes oachudd

me being from hull I can actually spot differences in accent from different parts of the city, owld (old) fellers seem to have a broader twang that is now being replaced by a really dopey sounding accent
(as a lad I read the bible in front of assembly and went in for reading competitions such was my diction
or dick  summat )
