Title: Re-naming GPS Coordinates
Post by: Lonewolf on June 27, 2014, 02:09:32 PM
I'm just trying to plot some routes for the forthcoming trip with Nigel to Bonnie Scotland, (he always makes me do it  ). Some of our destinations are pretty remote and it's easier to locate them with GPS grid references rather than an actual address, I'm using the Zumo 660 and I've entered the coordinates and now have a route with a number of waypoints in-between A to B. My question is if  you have numerous waypoints all with GPS coordinates it can be confusing over which is which, especially if you were to decide to deviate your route slightly.
Is there a way to rename the GPS coordinates once located so that the waypoint actually identifies a specific destination rather than just a series of numbers?  :hammer:
There's a few on here who I class as experts in this field so hopefully I'll get an answer pretty quick.  :mfr_lol:

If you are just imputing data into the 660 save them in favourites the go back into favourites and edit them :)

I save everything to favourites and then go back in and edit " Change name " I give things easy names like " Mondays hotel, or " Nice waterfall"

I was just going to suggest that ... why didn't you ask me directly Steve ? The Forum might get the impression I'm not a very technical person and have no idea what you are on about !  :whistling:
