Just bought one of these today to house the camera on the forthcoming Scottish trip. Camera fits in a treat and it'll be much easier than digging it out of the pannier each time I want to take a pic.
I do like these bags, much better in my opinion than the Bagster product, nothing touching the tank, equals no scratches. I even managed to get some 'special' discount. :whistling:

It may look large but when you're sat on the bike your view of the instrument panel is crystal clear and there's no interference with the handling of the bike, all in all a great accessory.
I like a tank bag and I've got the bagster cover but didn't like the bagster tank bags either - they're too long. I looked at the Bags Connection but don't like the colours, shape, design or the way they sit but loved the powered connection. Instead I got the GIVI XS307 Tanklock Tankbag. It's adjustable forward and back, it's a good size and I can still see my sat nav and dash. I did need to raise the tank locking tank ring a few mm to account for the tank cover and remove the tank covers front connectors, which I don't use anyway so no problem. I cut that stupid silver liner out which isn't waterproof so I don't know why they put it in. I am going to add the Powerlet Luggage Electrics (http://www.adventure-spec.com/default/powerlet-basic-luggage-electrix-tankbag-saddlebag-power-kit.html) so I can have power in the tank bag to charge a few bits and pieces - happy dayz!

I've used a small SW Motech bag a while now which I got from Whinny originally. I'm going to hang onto that as it's good for work to put a few bits in, the new one I'll use for trips.

After crash bars a nice tank bag is on my wish list.................I like the look of Doebag's neat wallet carrier so look forward to seeing both the Steve's solutions in the flesh
Why don't all tank bag manufacturers offer waterproof tank bags? The SW Motech tank rings are an excellent idea but if it starts to rain I don't want to have to stop just to put a waterproof cover on the bag.

:agree: Kevin............A :censored: good point...............................with all the latest material to chose from when making a bag you would of thought the manufactures would move into this century :gun_bandana:
I have never used my cover on my SW Motech City I have found them to be water resistant and with the protection of the screen and if you keep moving. But yes they should be by now :)

I think as they are they are showerproof but not waterproof, perhaps if they'd make them out of gortex that would be a simple fix.

It doesn't need to be permeable like Goretex though, any waterproof material would do.
It's quite possible to make waterproof bags as we have two - an Enduristan Sandstorm (http://www.enduristan.com/en/products/sandstorm-2.html) and a BMW bag for the GSA. Yesterday I ordered an SW Motech powered top ring and bottom rings for our GS and S10 with a view to marrying the top ring to one of our waterproof bags. Let's hope it works!

That looks good Steve ... so long as I can unzip it to grab the Nikon when the moment arises for that perfect shot in Skye then it gets the thumbs up from me, :mfr_lol:
