Finally traded in the Blade on Friday and I'm now the owner of an 09 GTR. Took it for a blast around Loch Lomond today. Can't get over how comfortable it is from only ever owning sports bikes :)
Struggling a bit with the change in riding style though.. Need to calm it down some, still making overtakes like I'm riding the Blade and realising I've got twice the weight to stop haha
Just a quick question though.. I've bought a set of Oxford Hot Grips for it and I'm wondering if they have to be wired directly to the batt, or can I wire it to one of the many electrical points I've noticed under the seat?
If that's possible, can someone post a pic of which connection is suitable to use please :)
Cheers
Dibz
You shouldn't connect it to the battery directly. Under the front left hand fairing are some accessory leads. Power it from there.

10A on the pre 2010 models.
depending on what model of oxford frips you have ,if you have the new intelligent grips oxford reccomend you wire them straight to your battery,i had issues with mine from day one when the dealer had fitted them from new ,i changed two controllers anf found that they would not operate correctly, they never reached there max temp and kept cooling down,i contacted oxford and they told me the power cable has an inline fuse fitted and also if you do forget to turn them off they switch off themselves,i have never wired grips direct to the battery in the past but once i wired straight to the battery no problems.i have the oxford intellogent sports grips.
If your really worried about wiring them to the battery, why not put and inline relay to the accessory wires. Main power will come from the battery but he activation current will come from the accessory wire.
Just a thought.

ps. Had issues with 2-3 oxford controllers, including brackets, controller on my 2008 and 2009 GTR's..... Not a problem since 2010 on 2010GTR until now.... Which I think is age related. (Rubber getter soft)
