Any signs of Mr kawasaki updating the present GTR yet, the present model is now 4 years old so there may be a new model with sigificant upgrades for 2015 just in time for the 2015 GTR meet  will post some pics of my France,Swiz and Italy alps and the atalian lakes trip to show you what your missing  bye for now... ride safe

Dave have a good trip and I'll catch up with you later about a warranty claim on my Skidmarx headlight protector that I bought from you a couple of years ago and which fell off recently and got run over by a car before I could retrieve it.....that'll be covered won't it?  :whistling:

2015 updates for our bike....don't hold your breath, overdue. but don't hold your breath.

Have a good adventure.

sorry to hear about the headlight protector  but didn't I mention, it only came with one months warranty  and that was not from when it was fitted or fell off  but when you bought it of me  all I have to say about this matter is... I had that on my GTR for 2 years and it never fell off :whistling: maybe the wind force hitting the protector hasn't been powerful enough to hold it in place :whistling: in that case best worn "Asif" if he has a headlight protector fitted :whistling:   :mfr_lol:

Dave, you crack me up.    Yes Steve,  It would be an advantage to go above 40 mph, so as for the wind pressure to hold the offending article in place.   :mfr_lol:  :mfr_lol:

alright geoff..  how are your's and the slightly younger one's  doings doing  even thou I don't have my versys or GTR anymore I do like to visit the forums now and again  how is "Smithy" the lucky chap you bought my Versys, been on the versys forum a few times but he dosen't seem to post anymore  have you or the very slighty younger one have any plans to change the big v's...  I agree the big V is very capable machine but it just didn't lift my skirt up enough  As you know I've had the 2006/2008 and now the 2013 zzr1400 and find it's the perfect bike for me  so  :undecided: where I can go from here should I get the urge to move on  can't see how Mr kawasaki can significantly improve the present zzr1441 enough to warrant me changing my present 2013 ZZR  the new model 2014 ZZR1441 only as upgraded ohlins suspension which mine hasn't but very much doubt it's needed anyway! but don't see how kawasaki can warrant the over £14,000 price tag with just adding ohlins front and back  so for now will be keeping hold of what I've got  may consider another GTR1400 if a new upgraded model was to appear in 2015/2016  still waiting for keith to contact me with a sunday to meet at the bridge  can't see me getting down before my alps trip  but will make it soon after thou

Dave, the headlight protector had been on my bike for 1000's of miles I've no idea what caused it to fall off. What I managed to retrieve still had all the dual lock fixings on it as did my headlight, I don't like to say it but I'd just been to a popular bike meet venue and left the bike unattended and it's possible that someone took a shine to it and tried to remove it. I doubt it, but I honestly can't understand how it came to fall off with all the fixings still attached.

Could it possibly have been that I was riding too fast?  :mfr_lol:

Good morning Dave. No Smithy doesn't seem to post so much on the forum  , but I find that the case with most bike forums ,  you get 10 or maybe 15 people who post constantly, and others who are very rare visitors to forums. I have no plans to change bikes, it's now 12 months old 16,000 miles, and I love it to bits  , the big V is a great bike, no warranty claims, no dealer visits, no hickups at all. However if you would like to PM my  good mate who resides in the Lake district, he may have some news for you  :whistling: . I hope that you enjoy your holiday. And dont forget to contact Keith regarding a meet up at The bridge.

NOPE!! :mfr_lol:

The headlight protector falling off with tabs on the lense and on the protector in tact is very strange indeed  I say this because.. it took quite a bit of force to pull apart the 4 tabs to remove the protector when cleaning the headlight, so it's highly unlikely it fell off through riding. suppose it's possible, some sod as tried to "half inch it" and they have casually walked passed and had a quick grab :hammer: thus..  it didn't come away at first grab! but this may have unlock a few tabs just leaving maybe the one tab holding the protector in place   and with you being a very sensible rider the forward wind force that was being generated and together with the fact that one tab isn't enough to hold the protector in place in the first place it as decided to part company   :shit: happens to the best of us  but they are only £19.99 and if you do get another one just ask for another 4 tabs then the headlight will fall of before the protector

Let me guess, you've talked Geoff into using a motorway.  :mfr_lol:

Steve.. it's not often I give credit  but credit where credit's due  in which case we must give "the old boy" a big long  taking into consideration that he dosen't use motorways I would say that 16,000 miles in 12 months is some going for a chap of his well matured years  well done Geoff   your a inspiration to us all :mfr_lol:
