Out of interest, has anyone noticed the difference or rather tested the difference between 720 and 1080.
Im off to spain soon and its all about the card space.
And how does it reflect on the frame rate ?
I use 720 @ 30fps found that good enough and the cards don't fill as quick :)

What is the final output to be.
720 is ok for DVD but 1080 is needed for bluray
I always record in 1080, if you have it, you may as well use it.
I use 720p 60 fps if required e.g. if wheels are in shot it stops "strobing" :-)
Take some spare batteries!! 720p @ 60fps will burn batteries about as quickly as SD cards :)

Andy the one I got was a 7800 mAh waterproof unit, £34, I've been testing it on the Go pro today and after six and a three quarter hours its still recording and its not finished yet. That's at 1080 too.
I just power mine from the bike ;)
