Title: make your own fuseblock
Post by: viper on May 25, 2014, 09:41:18 PM
Just picked one of these up on ebay to improve my homemade fuseblock, they do a smaller one that carries 6 fuses

you need a feed direct from your battery via a switched relay which goes onto the common "feed in" on this gadget and then you can have individual feeds going out to your devices. each fuse holder has a led which illuminates should the fuse Blow.

I bring all the earths together into a solid metal block that attaches to a suitable point on the chassis rail somewhere

anything between £8 and £14 depending on how many ways you need, ive got another one that is a straight 8 rather than this square design , it will need an enclosure

Exactly how does the relay 'switch' .....thought you would be best going form a switched live feed.....just in case you forget to switch the relay off and flatten your battery.    Perhaps I'm missing something... :surrender:

I said  fed by a " switched relay" , ie a relay that has a supply from a the battery but triggered by a lesser wire from something that is only on when the ignition is

search fuse block or fuse panel, as there are 100s. most are from china or hong kong and a few are uk based

this style might be better and just get the fuses with the LED built in
