Well, it had to happen, I guess. A slight faux pa as the French say! :'(
Pulled up at the side of a country lane today up in The Lakes, side stand down, the ground looked hard but unfortunately it wasn't.
The bike listed to the left and then came to a rest, on a wall! ;D
Bugger, thankfully just three very light scratches on the tip of the nearside mirror. The saving grace I think was that I was still sat on it at the time otherwise it'd be a slightly different story.
I'm sure there are many scratches out there on these mirrors, any tips on how to repair, proper respray, black marker pen? What works best?
I'm a clutz!!
Auch.... ;D
Are you going for a complete color-change then? 8)
No colour change I'm afraid but I do want it to look half decent when its done. ;D
Take it to one of those touch up places. Can't be too costly

Ah yes! I like your way of thinking, that never occurred to me.
NB beat me to it .... lots of small places that will "rub" your scratches and dents away ... I would think for not too much money the bike will come back better than before ! Got to be worth it.
Thats what I'm gonna do. I'm annoyed with myself that I didnt realise the ground was softer than it actually was, but I tell myself it could have been worse, at least I hadn't got off the bike. ::) That would have been expensive. ;D
There are three women in my house - I can always find a matching colour from hundreds of nail varnish bottles (including metallic !!!!!!) ;D
