Title: Yesterdays ride (PHEW)
Post by: BigAlan on May 06, 2014, 10:19:46 AM
So i went back in time with three mates all of whom have Fireblade's, like i used to when i was a mad arse, the ages of the others are 54, 59 and 67, yes all Blade riders and quick, so there was me on my GTR and the route was, Oxford, Wantage, Tidworth, Salisbury, Fordingbridge, Ringwood down to Mudeford Quay, where we stopped, quick was not the word, and the old guy says to me "F**K me Al you chuck that lump of a bike around, whereupon  thanked him and felt good, ok i cant keep up in a straight line race but i can go just as quick around the bends and was never left behind.

Coming back was almost as quick apart from those thirsty Blade's needing fuel so we had to cruise for a bit,  I had loads left, but i filled up anyways.

What annoyed me more then anything is we always stick to the limits in villages and suchlike, 30 and 40 are there for a reason, but we still had a couple of "Marquez" numpties hooning past us in built up area's, squeezing between on coming cars and suchlike, crazies i reckon.

Glad to see the big beast get some recognition from the Blade guys.

:agree:  I'm of the opinion that its to do with there egos writing cheques that their skill can't cash coupled to mini dick syndrome
