Charlie, I've said it before, take almost any Sunday, especially a Bank Holiday or during the summer, have a ride between Skipton and Devils Bridge at Kirby Lonsdale and I'm not saying you'll see riders doing 153mph but there are a fair few sports bike riders who are total pricks and how they get home safe at the end of the day is anyone's guess.
I don't hear anything in that video that says the local LEO's have given up. That road looks like the Dragons tail and it their equal to our cat and fiddle, the most dangerous road in the country.
I think what its saying is that the local force does not have the man power to completely erridicate the speeding , they issue tickets on an as and when basis. Its probably a sensible fiscal judgement. If the road was crawling with and army of LEOS 24/7 all armed with gatsos then we would be watching a very different video called " profit making" or " bike harassment"
