Title: Mini F9 camera
Post by: Andy on April 29, 2014, 03:24:59 PM
I've got one of these to try :-) http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_trksid=p2047675.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.X1080p+mini+f9&_nkw=1080p+mini+f9&_sacat=0&_from=R40 (http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_trksid=p2047675.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.X1080p+mini+f9&_nkw=1080p+mini+f9&_sacat=0&_from=R40)

Just giving it aquick test before it gets dark : I'll try on bike later. Standard settings but with a polarising filter.

I'll try at a later date setting White balance to "Cloudy" rather than "Auto" to see if it stops the occasional "yellow" effect.

I know the bloke doing the review wasn't  too impressed but, for the money, I think it's pretty good.

Yes, I see what he means about "colours" but I've now set white balance to "cloudy" rather than "Auto" to see if that helps. He was a bit confused by the buttons but they are "same" as my genuine Replay XD 1080. Plastic clip mounts are interchangeable but barrel is a bit bigger on Mini F9 so metal Replay mounts are too small and front filters ae a bit to small. End cap isn't interchangeable also but I've now got soe more mounts :-) I had to use supplied mains USB charger under supervision to charge as my current one didn't bring on charging LED. No mini HDMI makes pointing in right direction a little difficult. Battery life appears to be better than my Replay. Microphone appears to be hole on the bottom at the front like the Replay. I covered it with a bit of tape for the tests. I've now removed tape and I'll try next time with a "muff" as it was v quiet round town.
