Yesterday I dropped my spare seat off with Lee-the-Seat @ Viking Motorcycle Seats.
http://www.viking-motorcycle-seats.co.uk/ (http://www.viking-motorcycle-seats.co.uk/)
Have asked him to level and extend the rider section, fit firmer foam and level and firm up the pillion section.
Hope to be testing it next week before he re-covers it to make sure that it's comfy.
Will let you all know how it goes.
If it works as well as I hope, I will have a nearly new TopSellerie saddle for sale.
I just can't get on with the TopSellerie saddle.
Yea seats are a pain in the arse till you find the right one not to mention a big drain on the wallet.

Just had mine done by tony archer at Huddersfield ,had two gel inserts put in. So far I have done a couple of 300m runs and I am still in two minds if it is that much better than standard , did have a few twinges on the bum , but they was long twisty days , I though the gel would have felt softer when you sat on it , like when I sat on one that had the kawasaki gel seat on it ,it hopefully will break in a bit as I use it , ,,,,,,

Boomer, quick question for You, what is the Top Sellerie seat like at stopping passenger sliding forward into You.Have a standard seat but the mrs keeps sliding forward which pushes me into tank so looking for alternative.I also have Kwak Bagster gel seat but it's lower which is no good for me, may be interested in yours if it's available, regards
Now im a bit worried. i just orderd a TopSellerie seat with gel. Hope it will be better then the Kawa original seat.

ive had tony archer do 2 seat for me, 1st one was on my 12 , no gel but better padded it was fab, 2nd one was for my 14 with gel inserts, hated it, A lot of people don't like gel, its not the magic answer . Ive had over a dozen different seat in the last 10 years and the top sellerie one that I have now is the best of the bunch, it doesn't have gel.

+1 :agree:
I'm more then pleased with my TopSellerie seat. a lot better than the stock.
I did notice when I took my son out on the back he complained about sliding forward, I noticed it too and wasn't happy about it, since then I have taken the Mrs out on it and she is a lot better, no sliding forward. Could have been my sons clothing making him slide about more, or just the lazy way he sits when riding pillion.
If you haven't seen the difference you can check out a previous thread were I included some pics with static camera angles to show difference in profile.

Thanks alibx11, very good info
To stop the sliding I've put some grip mat around the pillion seat area, works a treat, as the Tribo seat cover isn't available for the gtr.....well it wasn't last year anyway.....
Top Sellerie state they only do upto 07 but ain't the seat the same on the 14???????
Isn't the seat the same as the ZZR ? Tribo do rear cover for ZZR
After around a thousand miles of use (longest trip over 300 in one day) I find the Top Sellerie seat (no gel) extremely comfortable. My wife has also ridden pillion with both the Top Sellerie and standard seat and agrees that for us at least, the Top Sellerie is much more comfortable.
I have the Corbin split seat, and although it's not the most comfortable seat, I have to stop after an hour. Not because I have a numb bum but because my joints seize up :mfr_lol:
I think it could have something to do with age, plus I do like to have my hot chocolate.. mmmm.. :mfr_lol:

Viking, try a different approach, I wear a Oxford Pillion Pal belt (looks a bit s&m but it works ) which my girlfriend hangs on to, even under braking she doesn't slide forward too much
dtr
Thanx for the info. My seat is on its way to Norway as we speak hope im happy with it as i went all in on it. Gel and heat... :help:
Here's mine. Custom made for me so stiffer foam, a more rounded contour and a little higher.
I will be getting it modded though as it still slides me forwards.
I tried it before he covered it and didn't notice the angle then.
It is way better than the OEM and also better than my Top Sellerie, at least for me.
Finally a saddle that lets me move around.
Once it's leveled out, should be good for at least 400 miles in the saddle.
