Had my GTR ECU Flashed today by John at Track Electronics near Norwich 01603 263939
WoW what a massive improvement 13% less fuel big gains throughout the rev and torque curves all restrictions taken off
And he's a nice guy best £180 I've spent in a while
Really pleased with it
Nice.... How long did it take? And what exhaust are you running?
Please and thank you for sharing....
Neil

Having the ECU Flashed, is that the same as having the bike re mapped?
Is that with the butterflies still in place?

Track Electronics dyno'd my ZZR and I to was very pleased with the results, at the time he didn't have the software to flash ECU's but thanks for the information and I shall be in touch with T.E.
Owner is a very nice guy, I was that impressed I gave him my little used Arai RX7 to donate to a young racer he helps out.
I talked to John, very knowledgeable guy.
He can not dyno my trike, wont fit  so said he would reflash the ECU based on what he knew from the other GTRs he has done, apparently they are always just about the same.
£100 + VAT, including return delivery, bargain or what
It now smoother than silky the silk worms favourite silk pyjamas !, no hesitation, pulls like a train, and the average MPG has already climbed by 2 and I have only done 30 miles or so

That sounds like an absolute bargain and about a third of the cost of a remap ( although excellent) at Hilltop
Hi, from what I can gather the ECU is located underneath the tool box. What is the best way to remove the security bolts to get to the ECU ?

Hi and welcome
I got the security screws lose using a pair of decent side cutters, just squeeze hard to grip either side of the head and unscrew.
Richard
I'm not too sure what side cutters are but I used a mini pair of mole grips and a lifetimes supply of patience and swearing! :mfr_lol:

Yep that them......................................But will Steve recognise them ? :mfr_lol:
I'd call those wire strippers. In any case you did well to get the bolts out with those!

They need to be a decent pair, with hardened cutters, then you can squeeze hard enough to make them cut slightly into the head, giving you the grip you need to start the screw turning.
The first time I took them out I think I used long nose vice grips, then after fitting my speed healer I put the security screws back in thinking I would never take them out again
Brilliant, brute force to get them out, thankfully I am pretty good at that. I will fix the security bolts so I can either use a screw driver or a socket to put the bolts back in, just in case I need to take them out again.
For £100 plus vat I think it is a bit of a no brainer for what you can get back. From what I understand the gtr in over fueled and I can possibly save between 10-13% in fuel as well as better performance. Very cheap upgrade.
Thanks all for the advice on removing them bolts, I was going to drill them and use easy out thingys on them. :whistling:
