Title: GTR shirts
Post by: Kwikasfuki on March 29, 2014, 12:14:50 PM
Yes, I'm going to revive this discussion (http://www.gtr1400.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=1911.0) in a new thread.

Roger did brilliant in almost getting those t-shirts ordered, and since then Ant has helped support the forums by making and selling the stickers.

I'm going to look at getting the ball rolling again on these t-shirts and just want to collate some responses to a few questions:

    1. How much would you be willing to pay per t-shirt including shipping.
                a. up to £12
                b. up to £15
                c. up to £20
                d. over £20

    2. What chest size are you (S, M, L, XL, XXL)

    3. How many t-shirts would you order?

    4. Would you order t-shirts on a yearly basis, possibly with different logos?

Bear in mind that the price wouldn't be cost i.e. there would be a small element of contribution to running the forums.

1) Depends on the quality of the T-shirt and print
(Depends how much extra money will cost shipping to rest of EU)
2) XL
3) 1
4) See under a)

Cheers

Gordan

You can have a look at the ones I'm thinking off here: http://www.clothes2order.com/T-Shirts/Fruit+of+the+Loom+Premium+Heavyweight+T-shirt (http://www.clothes2order.com/T-Shirts/Fruit+of+the+Loom+Premium+Heavyweight+T-shirt)

there's reviews as well

I did some high level costs based on a qty of 44 from that site

T-shirt with print is £7
Postage is £3 (or £4 for signed)
Packaging £1
Forum contribution say £3 (covers approx 4 months of hosting costs based on 44 t-shirts)

So we could just about do them delivered between £13 to £15 I reckon.

normally id say up to £15 but as its for the forum id say £20, fruit of the loom in heavy weight is good quality , as good as it gets until you starting going into Lacoste territory.

quantity, id only order 1 initially as with most things purchased on line, sizes and fit can be different to what you expect, plus I cant see why id need more than 1 gtr shirt at anyone time.

:mfr_lol:

We can do two runs: one for thos who want a pic on the front, and another for those that want something on the back. Looks like an extra £3 if you want something at the back assuming everyone else wants the same strap line. Otherwise its about £8 extra

Thinking about the money transfer: either paypal gift (no change), paypal (91p charge assuming £15 payment), or a fast transfer straight into account (no charge)

I'm happy to order a single t-shirt once we've decided the colour and image to see the quality and post some pics

How about the forum sticker artwork on the front, ' right near your tit '  :whistling:     or are we going for something completely different ?

Maybe "shadow" of GTR would be better than the actual picture so that owners of other colors would not feel less of value

There's polo shirts available, but again at a slightly higher cost. The Tshirts are the cheapest. I'll work out prices.

The cost of shipping is expensive. I estimate around £40 on the site I just got a quote from

Is there any possibility of doing GTR patches, i'm not too keen on fruit of the loom stuff, bought some polo shirts from the races last year, FOTL and worn them a couple of times a month now they are lookimg a bit tired and want throwing in the bin. I would like patches so they could be sewn onto a better quality polo shirt.

I got mine through Lloyds Cooper (Lids Direct) Watford when I picked up my bike.

Used to do a lot of business with Nevis the importer and the Richa is GVFM
