Well the time has come to get some new tyres, and I've been toying with the idea of giving the wheels a little lift as the bike needs a bit of TLC.
Can't decide whether to leave the wheels as they are (silver) or go for a bit of powder coating or get them hydrographically printed to change the look of the bike.
I was surprised how cheap it was to get done - powder coating on a set of wheels from £50 or the hydrographic print from £100 for the set. I think the gloss black powder coat looks good against the candy Neptune blue fairing, but was also thinking of getting them printed to look like carbon fibre to match the Scorpion serket carbon fibre exhaust..... or do I do the spokes and the rims in different finishes? Oh decisions decisions  ...... any thoughts and feedback welcome.
Another thing on the "to do" list at the same time will be to replace the tps batteries as the rear has given up the ghost. I miss not having it as it did give me advanced warning when in the middle of nowhere in Wales at 3am in the morning!
cheers,
Mark
Of those 2 options, I would go with powdercoated black. The idea of CF rims on a GTR seems wrong in the first place, and I think that you will get a more durable surface treatment with powdercoating on a surface thats have to deal with tuff conditions. Fake CF on wheels is a little to much bling IMO. Black wheels on blue bike should be very nice.
Personally I would get your wheels powder coated in a high gloss black with some small blue flakes or speckles just to break up the area.
They look great with a bit of carbon print ,had mine done just on the rim and the rest painted to match the colour of the bike ,,more bling the better ,
Well that's put a spanner in the works ........ the new rear tyre has turned up already so it might get fitted while I decide what to do, then return to the dilemma when the front is due to be replaced lol.
What about some water transfers, that would be bling.....

How do people even think of coming up with such a process, I've never seen anything like that before. How permanent is it?
